Sick in my mouth...
It's not to do with how much of an effect it has on the common cold, more so the effect it has on your general functioning of your immune system...
All the supplements in the world won't ensure you stay healthy all the time but if and pretty much when you get ill you will be able to deal with the infection more efficiently...
I also know there is always going to be a placebo effect, the mind indeed is a powerful thing...
Incidentally, if you want to try and keep the weight off there is a supplement called carninite, it utilises your fat stores more efficiently when you train and helps me stay lean all the time... you can add it to your protein shake Matti but don't smell it cos it's horrid... i think we have already mentioned looking for glutamine in your post exercise drink as it helps with immune defence...
Creatine is generally used to increase power, everyone utilises it for the first 10-12 seconds of exercise as it's you type 1 energy system... _________________

What do you mean sick? That dude is fucking ripped!! RIPPED!!! TO THE MAX!!!!
I'll investigate the carnitine, thanks. I'm off to do a biceps/triceps/abs day in the gym in a few minutes - probably my favourite day.
Yesterday was pad training (boxing) and my shoulders ache. _________________ ThirdLif3 is a place for friendly grown-up gamers. Register for our forums now or join the Bungie.net group.

I love the pad training - Weds, Thurs pads, Friday full on sparring - love it!
I've never felt so fit as I have with all the boxing I'm doing lately. _________________ |

I love the boxing. After yesterday's biceps and triceps I'm probably going to smash my back tonight - I'm thinking deadlifts, back extensions on a swiss ball, seated row and maybe some pulldowns to round the evening off.
Then abs. _________________ ThirdLif3 is a place for friendly grown-up gamers. Register for our forums now or join the Bungie.net group.

Time for a small update.
Now that i have more stuff in my daily schedule (work+school), it would have been easy to just give up the training.
Well, that is not what i have done. I have only adjusted my training a bit to manage everything and still have some time to relax.
So, during the autumn-winter-spring period i will only concentrate on gym training. I go to the gym 4 mornings per week and still do the training with 2-split schedule.
I have also increased the daily calorie intake a bit and it is already giving good results. In last 2 weeks i have increased more strength than i earlier did on 4 weeks period.
At the moment i am not trying to lose any weight, my weight is currently at 73kg's which is totally fine at the moment. I will however keep an eye on it, so if i start to gain too much weight, then i will re-evaluate the calorie intake again. |
